The free quiz game where you can win without knowing a single answer
Steal The Points! is a free party quiz for teams: answer the question, or steal someone else's points and let their knowledge become your payday. 3 to 30 players, straight from the browser. No sign-ups, no downloads, no player caps waiting behind a paywall.
How it works
- Start a game at play.mamdigital.co.uk. Pick a question pack and you're live in under a minute.
- Share the room with a link, a 4-letter code or a QR code. Players join on their phones with a name and an emoji. Nobody installs or signs up for anything.
- Answer or steal. Every round, each player either answers the trivia question for points, or spends a steal token to raid another player's round instead.
- Survive the reveal. Steals resolve as the theatrical finale of every round: lights dim, the mark is revealed, and points fly one way or the other. Highest total after the final round takes the podium.
The steal is what makes it. Quiz nights usually crown whoever memorised the most pub trivia; here, last place can mug the leader on the final question. It rewards reading the room, not just knowing the capital of Mongolia. And if your group just wants a straight quiz, hosts can turn stealing off entirely.
The quiz platforms teams usually pay for, and what they charge
Most team quiz tools are good products with the same catch: the free version stops working the moment your whole team actually shows up. Player caps of 10, question limits of 5, trials that expire, and pricing per head. Here's the honest picture, prices checked July 2026 from each platform's public pricing page.
| Platform | Free version | Paid from | Who needs an account | Player limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Steal The Points! | Everything, free | There isn't one | Nobody | 30 players free |
| Kahoot! (work plans) | 10 players, classic mode | $19/month, billed annually | Host | 10 free (3 on business accounts) |
| Jackbox Party Pack | None | $29.99 one-off + download | Purchase + install for host | Most games 2 to 8 |
| QuizBreaker | None, 21-day trial | $39/month, billed annually | Host and every player | 100 on cheapest plan |
| Water Cooler Trivia | None, 4-week trial | $10/month per 10 people | Host and every player | Priced per head |

A free Kahoot alternative that doesn't stop at 10 players
Kahoot! is the name everyone knows, and its free plan now caps live games at 10 players (just 3 on a free business account). The eleventh person hits a wall at the join screen, usually right as the social is starting. Steal The Points! takes 30 players on its only plan, the free one, and adds a mechanic Kahoot doesn't have: the steal.
A free Jackbox alternative with nothing to download
Jackbox is brilliant, and we say that with love. It's also $29.99 per pack, needs the host to install it, and most of its games cap at 8 players. If you want that same phones-as-controllers party energy for a bigger group, in the browser, for nothing, that's exactly the gap this game fills.
No pricing per head, ever
Several team trivia tools charge per participant, which quietly punishes you for good attendance. A 20-person social shouldn't cost more than a 10-person one. Here, the price is zero either way, and nobody on your team hands over an email address to play.
Made for teams, built for mischief
Steal The Points! was designed for the moments teams actually share: icebreakers with new starters, Friday wind-downs, remote energisers in the middle of a long call, office parties and away days. Share the host screen on the meeting-room TV or over Zoom, Meet or Teams, and everyone plays from the phone already in their pocket. The tone is playful heist, think pantomime villains rather than anything mean, so it stays firmly safe for work. Stakes are always shown before a steal is committed, first-timers understand the whole game within one round, and totals never go negative, so nobody leaves feeling actually robbed.
Why is a marketing agency giving away a party game?
Fair question. MAM! Digital is a digital marketing agency in Reading, and we like building things people genuinely use, it's the same reason our free ads tools exist. Steal The Points! is our way of showing what we can design, build and ship, and honestly, we wanted a quiz game that didn't charge our own team per head. If you enjoy the game and happen to need a hand with your marketing, let's chat. If you just want to rob your colleagues of their points every Friday, that's a perfectly good outcome too. #FeelGoodMarketing
FAQ
Yes. There's no premium tier to unlock, no trial that expires, no ads and no player cap hiding behind a paywall. Start a game, share the link, play. That's it.
No. Nobody makes an account, not even the host. Players join in their browser via a link, a 4-letter room code or a QR code, pick a name and an emoji avatar, and they're in. It works on any phone, tablet or laptop.
3 to 30 players. Two people can play a straight quiz duel, but stealing switches on at 3 players, and the game is at its best with a room full of would-be thieves.
Yes. Share the host screen over Zoom, Meet or Teams and everyone plays along on their own phone, wherever they are. It works just as well in person on a meeting-room TV.
On any round you can skip the question and pick another player as your mark. If they answer correctly, their round points go to you. If they get it wrong, the steal backfires and you hand them double the round value from your own pile. Everyone gets 2 steal tokens per game, and the stakes are shown before you commit, so nobody gets tricked by the rules.
Yes. The starter question packs are workplace-safe general trivia, the tone is pantomime villainy rather than anything mean, and players share nothing but a first name and an emoji.
Completely free, 3 to 30 players, live in under a minute. The only thing anyone loses is points.
